For our new build, we were advised to speak to a smaller reputable building company. This reputable builder conscientiously selected all his subcontractors, as his reputation relied solely on their workmanship.

This brings me to his exterior & interior painter Clifton George of Authentic Finishing’s Ltd. Once introduced he was very approachable & polite and we spoke in detail about what products are best for our wet & dry areas etc using only first-class products. He arrived always before the normal start time and worked continuously throughout the day. His workmanship was “OUTSTANDING” to the very last detail. I personally thought the windows & doors etc were some new porcelain product!

Clifton George, of Authentic Finishings, brushed off stiff competition at the New Zealand Painter of the Year Awards to be announced the winner of the “Residential Dwelling New Interior Under $25,000” award. Mr George won the award for his work on a Mount Maunganui home. Murray Gray, from sponsoring company Dulux and one of the award’s judges, said the work had been “flawless.” This was a lovely project completed by a highly-skilled craftsman. The home was decorated in natural tones and the brushwork around the doors and frames was immaculate.”

Authentic Finishings Ltd painted the interior of our house at Mt Maunganui. The house was on three levels so this in itself created a difficult task. There was a fair bit of repair work required to the existing gib-board but nothing was a problem. We could not fault the work & we have had many comments on the finish.
